We are thrilled to announce the return of the SOUTH CHINA SHARKS to the CIHL!

Registration for the upcoming 2023-2024 CIHL season is now open and we invite you to secure your spot. As Hong Kong's premier ice hockey league, we are entering our 13th season, with league games held at Discovery Bay, boasting the best FULL-SIZE ice rink in Hong Kong. Additionally, we will also be playing games in Shenzhen (xxxxx).

For those interested, this season presents an exciting opportunity to participate in both leagues. Alongside the CIHL, Hong Kong's top non-contact league SCIHL Division 1 will also take place at the DB Ice Rink, allowing players to enjoy the experience of playing in two leagues at the same ice rink.

We would like to inform you that the management of equipment lockers falls under the responsibility of the DB Ice Rink. If you are interested in renting a locker for the 2023-2024 season, please reach out to the rink directly. Contact details for DB lockers are as follows:

Priority registration for returning CIHL and SCIHL players is open until August 1. Registration will then be open to the public starting on August 1. To show our appreciation, we are offering an early bird promotion. Register before August 1 to receive a HK$500 voucher for Warrior equipment at the CHG Hockey Shop, along with 2 free skate sharpening sessions (voucher expires April 1, 2024, and is not redeemable for cash).

CIHL HIGHLIGHTS:

• The CIHL league fee for the 2023-2024 season is as follows:
  • Early bird (before August 1): HK$6,888
  • After August 1: HK$7,888
• The schedule for the season includes:
  • 16 regular season games
  • Games are scheduled as follows:
    • Wednesday night at 8:45 pm
    • Saturday night at 9:30 pm
    • Sunday morning at 9:15 am
• Each team will have a doubleheader road trip to Shenzhen to play against the South China Sharks once during the regular season (dates and times to be confirmed).
• Teams will also have a doubleheader in Hong Kong against the South China Sharks once or twice during the regular season (Saturday evening - Sunday morning).
• The South China Sharks do not play on Wednesday nights.

• CIHL games are full contact.
• Each game consists of three 15-minute full-stop periods, followed by overtime (3 on 3).
• Each team can have a maximum of 15 players and 1 goalie.
• Playoff format:
  • 1st place team receives a bye
  • 2nd place team plays against the 3rd place team in a single game final
  • The 4th place team does not make the playoffs.
• The CIHL offers real-time game stats through the iOS and Android CIHL app.
• Game summaries are available.
• Players enjoy an exclusive discount at the CHG Hockey Shop.

IMPORTANT DATES:

• Draft: Friday, September 1 (location to be confirmed)
• Opening night: Saturday, September 23

MPORTANT REGISTRATION DETAILS:

• CIHL registration must be completed online.
• Full payment must be made at the time of registration.
• Any player not selected in the draft will receive a refund.
