Aces snap Two Game Losing Streak with a 6-5 Win Over Warriors

April 23rd, 2021

The Manulife Macau Aces found their way back to the win column with a close hard fought victory over the AsiaXPAT Kowloon Warriors by the score of 6-5.

Team general manager Whitney Olsen had a huge night for his Aces as he scored 5 unanswered goals. Whitney had a chance for the double hat-trick late in the game but missed the shot on the open net as the Warriors had pulled their goalie looking for the equaliser.

With the win, the Aces are five points up on both the Warriors and Tycoons in the CIHL standings with 5 games left to play in the season.

It was a night for general managers as Warriors David Belluche claimed the fastest hat-trick in CIHL history by scoring three goals in a span of 2:34 of the 1st period.

Warriors outshot the Aces by 2-1 count (46-23) - Aces Liam Moorfield-Yee was once again a wall for his team. It was the sixth straight game that the Aces have allowed more than 40 shots per game.
