Warriors overcome sluggish 1st period to top Tycoons 7-6

Last year CIHL champions overcame a sluggish 1st period which had them trailing 4-1 to the HKBN Hong Kong Tycoons to claim their second straight win by the count of 7-6 and remain undefeated on the season.
David Belluche three points (2G + 1A) on the night earned him first start for the second straight game, his second goal of the game with 5:23 left in the third period was the game winning goal. Newcomer Francois Esterhuizen scored his second and third goals of the season. Between the two of them, they have accounted for 7 of the 11 Warriors goals on the season.
Tycoons found some line chemistry with Lucas Eshleman (2G + 2A), Nicholas Weberg (2G + 3A) and Jimi Fanstone (4A) as they put up 13 points on the night. The lowest scoring team from last season look to have solved the G issue however they are going to need to help at the other end and support their tender as they have given up 14 goals in two games.
Warriors Ashley Bock picked up his second win of the season stopping 25 of the 31 shots, 11 in the third period. Emerson Keung of the Tycoons turned away 23 of 30 and is 0-2 on the season.
