The CIHL is proud to announce its intern program for the upcoming 2019 - 2020 CIHL season, with a chance to gain invaluable work experience and to coach and play hockey in one of the world’s most dynamic cities – Hong Kong.
The CIHL intern program is designed to give interns the opportunity to live and work abroad, while playing hockey at a high level and helping develop the sport in Hong Kong.

Internship: A general six-month internship at Inetasia’s Hong Kong office. The selected candidate will be rotated through several of Inetasia’s core teams to gain a more comprehensive understanding of both internet consulting as well as the dynamics of a small, enterprising business. Rotations may include spending time with the Website Analytics, Digital Marketing, databases, business development and creative teams.
This internship would be great for those candidates interested in entrepreneurship, marketing, technology and web services.
Sidewinder Capital is an active angel investment firm with a focus on start up or small cap organizations within internet, information services, and sports media sectors.
The Principals' experience covers investment management, portfolio management, operations, sales and marketing and investment banking, which add value to portfolio companies through operational efficiency, digital marketing optimization, strategic relationships and market knowledge.
Sidewinder Capital seeks to fund small companies in its areas of expertise and believes its operational experience, industry knowledge and network of relationships are invaluable in helping its portfolio companies to grow and succeed. Sidewinder Capital focuses on maximizing value at various stages of development delivering expert advice in positioning companies during the capital raising or sell process, structuring deals, and developing the necessary analysis to manage the deal process from initial contact to close.
Internship: A general six to seven month internship in Hong Kong. The selected candidate will be rotated through 3-4 specific Sidewinder Capital projects to gain a more comprehensive understanding of finance, investment, and operations as well as the dynamics of small businesses. Project topics for 2015-2016 include reviewing investment proposals for small business acquisition targets, creating a process flow to qualify investments, and streamlining the financial operations of an existing business.
This internship would be applicable for those candidates interested in finance, investment and entrepreneurship.
Excelsior Capital Asia
Excelsior Capital Asia ("Excelsior"), established in 1998, is a direct investment firm which invests in companies predominantly in North Asia.
Excelsior currently manages Excelsior Capital Asia Partners III, L.P. ("Fund III") and Excelsior Capital Asia Partners IV, L.P. (“Fund IV”) with combined commitments including co-investment of US$324 million. Capital Z Asia Partners, L.P. ("Fund I") and Capital Z Asia Partners II, L.P. (“Fund II”) with combined commitments including co-investment of US$403 million, have been fully realized. Fund investors include global insurance companies, pension funds, financial institutions and prominent family endowments.
Excelsior seeks significant minority or controlling stakes in investee companies, targeting Fund equity investments of between US$15 and US$50 million. Efforts are focused in the small and mid-cap segment of the market where Excelsior can contribute strategic, operational and financial value to the investee businesses.
Internship: A general six to seven month internship in Hong Kong. The selected candidate will work on investment mandate targets in China (including Hong Kong), Taiwan and Korea covering selected sectors, including media, consumer products and manufacturing.
This internship would be applicable for those candidates interested in finance, investment and entrepreneurship. Fluency in Mandarin or Korean is required for this internship.
The Junior Tigers welcomes boys and girls from the age of 4 - 18. The primary objective of the Junior Tigers is to provide children with a fun and enjoyable experience while learning and improving their hockey skills. The Junior Tigers provides coaching which caters for all levels of ability and combines the services of professional coaches as well as a number of volunteer parent coaches.
The China Hockey Group (CHG) is a family-focused group of ice hockey leagues, training programmes and community initiatives that are geared at developing both the sport of ice hockey in Hong Kong and Southern China as well as the concept of student-athletes, where sporting goals are achieved alongside educational pursuits.
The China Hockey Group consists of 4 pillars.
The CHG is comprised of the China Ice Hockey League (CIHL), the Junior Tigers youth hockey club and the South China Ice Hockey League (SCHIL), with the CHG also the exclusive distributors for Bauer Hockey equipment in Hong Kong.
