The CIHL celebrated its first Community Night on Saturday, December 17 with a night of family fun and entertainment bringing together hockey fans and players of all ages. The night kicked off with an open skate and was followed by a kids skills competition, featuring players from the Hong Kong Typhoons and the Penguins Hockey Club, and the CIHL All-Star Game.
In the All-Star Game, league sponsor Team RBC (Macau Aces and South China Sharks) beat Team Quam (the Quam Hong Kong Tycoons and the Kowloon Warriors) 6-1. Team RBC got the offence going early, jumping out to a 3-1 lead by the end of the first period. After scoring a single goal in the second period, Team RBC added in two more goals in the final frame to dominate this year’s All-Star Game.
